A warm ray of sun softly blushes my cheeks, as it does, it -- 

 Rekindles my inner being, I felt a flutter like no other; a

  Lovely girl so captivating catches a worthy glimpse of my heart, 

   Enticing it to pump erratically, yet my vessels were in absolute harmony;

    Never did I feel such an intense emotion, no reasoning can explain it, 

     Except, I'm certain, my body and soul were entwined for once.

Ordinary is an understatement, it was pretty exceptional that I was sure,

 Brings me back to memory lane, when I first notice that she was indeed special,

  Recounting our love story the day that started it all, -- when I took her "purse";

   Everything went into place, the universe conspired with me, a heavy downpour of

    Rains gushed from the heavens and gave me the chance to be close to her, 

     Overjoyed, we walked under the showering sky within the enclave of her umbrella.

Destiny took over, the heart can explain what the mind cannot, days went by

 Unnoticed, our hearts were lacing up and were beating the same song;

  Nothing can ever stop us, we found solace in each other's arms, 

   Grasping hands interlockingly, we did a lot of stuff together, 

    Committing to each other a blissful life, laughter and love -- and it 

     All started when the boy took the purse from the girl!

1 Once there was a lass whose face looked so divine, 

I swore that her heart will one day be mine;

To exchange sweet nothings as we dine,

Her beauty lasts and lingers, gets even better as it ages like wine.

2 Behold such awesome beauty exquisitely refine(d), 

All that I pray and hope in a woman is with thine;

What I once dreamt has become a reality so fine,

We eventually became lovers 'coz our hearts and souls were entwine(d).

3 As the first of the eighth month approaches, celestials have decided to define, 

The universe has made its move, our planets align;

Call it Serendipity, fate or destiny, more fittingly called a trine,

Our stars were in harmony, it was a remarkable sign. 

4 Several wonderful years have passed, to be exact 'twas nine,

Being partners was great but we needed affirmation that's divine;

We unfold on a new chapter, the "ploy of dates" was a great sign,

To fulfill heaven's mandate and exchange our vows in a shrine.

5 On our 108th moons together, our vows enshrine(d),

1st of the 8th moon of that year it was (801), the dates twine(d);

'Twas a melancholic day for the nation, the sky cried like a brine,

Yet, Lo and behold, the heavens confirms a couple marching towards God's shrine. 

6 Life is a wondrous mystery itself, alone it creates whirl and line,

An utter demise or a new beginning, each people's fate have a unique design;

We believe in providence and good karma, everything we lift to the one Divine, 

The past is a teacher, the present a gift, the future brings forth an outline.

7 A couple of years elapsed, a bundle of joy emerged as we combine --,

Our bodies and souls, not to mention our traits and genes entwine(d);

The most elaborate gift, a blessing of a beloved progeny is in line,

We cannot contain our awe and gladness, our hearts leapt in elation so define(d). 

8 108 moons had once again transpired, 18 years together with so little whine,

Our love has grown deeper and reaped fruits aplenty like a fig tree not a vine;

Our affection for each other is as polished as a diamond so refine(d),

Quagmires and trials, struggles and challenges, together we decline(d).

9 Cheers to couple of 18 years or more as one, we shall never waiver to define, 

A love's promise that's Heaven made, brought about by providence Divine;

We both commit to God, the love, respect and understanding be Thine, 

We pray to the Almighty Father to grant us endless bliss and experience everlasting CLOUD NINE!
