In His Time
By Roms 8/18/21 Contemplating amidst the pandemic's rising surge of yet another variant... ----- I Once i stumbled upon a poem which says "there's still time", There's totally nothing wrong with it, in fact it's quite reassuring; Except when we hold onto it, the sense of urgency isn't sublime, To pause and be still is fine, but it doesn't do good if it's recurring. II Instead, we must say "in Hs time" with conviction, After all, time isn't man-made, but it's God's way to see how wonderful His works are; With man, everything is relative and depends on varying emotion(s), While with God everything is infinite and absolute, no holds barr(ed). III In God's time, everything is precise and carefully laid down, Tho' not all are clearly handed and straightened out; To decipher His will is quite difficult to surmise on our own, We must somehow pray for the signs that we may figure it out. IV Uncertainty roots from holding on to something that we believe lingers, While temporal objects, even our lives, are but a gift of breath from above; Faith on the other hand, is clinging to the One who gives life with a snap of His fingers, Blessings and dominion on things He made, He bestowed on humanity with love. V While thinking that "there's still time",we often take a break and sometimes forget — That more pressing matters need to be resolved on the dot; But when we lift up everything we do to His will, we shall surely get — The fruits of our labor, for we have a Father whose abundance is for a whole lot. VI A pause is a reminder to take things slowly, Tho' sometimes there's a fine line when we procrastinate; "YOLO" we only live once, and once only, Others tend to live in the present, forgetting they are fortunate — VII Often we take for granted, small things that really matters the most, Family, relationships, time, respect and most especially gratitude; When we know we still have time, most often than not we boast, And never even bother to give, to spend time of servitude. VIII All things are beautiful in His time, as the inspirational song goes, True happiness can only be achieved, if we worry not of the future; Knowing that God is in control of all our woes, Living in the now and then, so as to what's next is what we need to nurture. IX A purpose-driven life is something we must aspire for, God is in control and His timing is perfect; Content springs from claiming that in His time we are accounted for, There's still time to acknowledge that In His time we are never reject(s)

In today's world of chaos and amidst a pandemic that's uncertain,
Serenity and peace of mind — our goal that's prime;
Comforting it may sound that "there's still time" — but nothing's more certain,
Except we're all equally important "In His Time."
